Well, Percy and his friends seem to get into trouble as fast as some “hobbits” I know!
I am finding all the referrals to the Mythical Gods has kept it all very interesting. And as I said it’s action packed and fast paced, hard to leave the book down for very long.
I think I needed some easy reading with good story telling since my ability to do anything for very long is limited.
I know the first two books have been made into movies but I did not see them..I can see where they would be super filled with special effects.
This was an enjoyable read and I have book 3 here so I will read that and at least I will have read 5 books for OUaT! I am sure young adults will enjoy these books very much… and heck they are a good change for us “not so young” too!

I'm so glad you're reading these! I haven't read them in a few years now, but, they are great fun! I have seen the first movie, it was AWFUL, absolutely awful.

I think I mentioned before that my grand-daughter loves these books. There are quite a few I think. We saw the movie too and enjoyed it.
I haven't read this one yet, as I just said in the last comment...but I did see the movie. Don't usually like to see a movie first, but it was for my son's birthday so kinda hard to say "No, you have to wait until your Mom finally gets around to reading the book." :P I did enjoy the movie, and one of these days I really, really should get around to reading it. So glad you enjoyed the second one as well!

Easy reading is sometimes just what the mind needs. Something to just relax into and enjoy reading. And adults can enjoy children's/YA books too! heck yes! lol I'm currently reading The Hobbit for the 5th or 6th time :-)
